2. Fabric Solutions

• Modification of Fabric: When applied to fabrics, particularly cellulosic fibers like cotton, it reacts with the fiber structure, effectively making the fabric more anionic. 
• Enhanced Dyeing: This anionic modification allows the fabric to bind more readily with anionic dyes, leading to improved dye uptake and color intensity. 
• Not a Direct Additive: It's not a component of a typical fabric solution like a softener or finish. Instead, it's used in a specific process to prepare the fabric for dyeing.

3. Performance Chemicals

• Introduction of Sulfate Groups: Me3N•SO3 is a key reagent for adding sulfate groups to alcohols, phenols, and other nucleophilic sites in organic molecules.
• Enzymatic Sulfation Mimicry: Me3N•SO3 is employed in the synthesis of sulfate-conjugated metabolites, like those of resveratrol, and in creating mimetics of natural sulfated molecules like glycosaminoglycans and heparan sulfate.
